BPS West Papua: TPK Star Hotels January 2024, Highest in Kaimana

Orideknews.com, Manokwari– The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of West Papua Province released the Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star-classified hotels in West Papua in January 2024, reaching 28.98 percent, down by 16.88 percentage points on a monthly basis and by 0.20 on an annual basis.

Head of West Papua BPS, Merry said, the highest star classification hotel TPK was recorded in Kaimana district at 34.57 percent.

Meanwhile, the length of stay for guests in West Papua, continued Merry, in January was 1.62 days, down by 0.35 percent on a monthly basis but increased by 0.06 percent on an annual basis.

“The average stay of foreign guests in West Papua reached 1.56 days higher than the previous month. “However, it is lower compared to the same month last year,” he said in the monthly release Friday, (1/3/24).

Merry added that the average stay for domestic guests reached 1.62 days. Lower compared to the previous month. However, it is still higher than the same month last year. (ALW/ON).
