KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian Food & Hotel Exhibition (FHI) will be held on 26 – 29 July 2022 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIEXPO) after the previous year it was held virtually (online) due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“FHI has become a pioneer for companies that want to expand their global market reach across world borders by providing network access to leading producers, suppliers and distributors in the hospitality and F&B sector,” said Juanita, quoted by Antara.
“FHI also provides an opportunity for international companies to enter the rapidly growing and profitable Indonesian hotel and F&B market,” he continued.

This year FHI is again presenting interesting events such as Culinary Talks (Cooking Masterclass, Food Talks, and Food & Beyond) by the Associations of Culinary Professional (ACP).
There is also the Indonesia Coffee Event by the Specialty Coffee Association of Indonesia (SCAI) which will hold the Indonesia Barista Championship and the Indonesia Brewing Cup Championship to find Indonesian representatives to compete in the World Coffee Event.
There is still Wine Masterclass & Training by the Indonesia Sommelier Association (ISA) Jakarta chapter, Pastry and Baking Challenge by the Indonesia Pastry Alliance (IPA), and Gelato Workshop & Class by Espresso Italia.
Apart from various events and competitions in the F&B sector, FHI 2022 also supports the promotion of local F&B products, one of which is coffee.
SCAI presents a Coffee Village which provides an experience for FHI visitors and competition spectators to be able to taste the coffee blends directly from the participants.
This 16th edition of FHI presents a business matching program so that customers can meet and establish business relationships with exhibiting companies behind closed doors.
Daryanto Witarsa as General Chair of SCAI 2022 said that FHI as the largest trade exhibition for hospitality and F&B supply products in Indonesia is the right vehicle for the presence of Coffee Village.

“We present all-star experience bar “In the Coffee Village area during the FHI 2022 exhibition, all competition participants are required to serve coffee to spectators and visitors so that they can create a direct experience of drinking coffee made by the participants,” he explained.
Visitors can also directly buy coffee products which are presented in the product showcase area.
The F&B industry itself is one of the industries that continues to grow during the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Data for 2021 from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that the growth of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for this industry reached 2.54 percent, which was better than the previous year which only recorded growth of 1.58 percent.
FHI 2022 was held together with the Hotelex Indonesia and Specialty Food Indonesia events and was joined by Retail Indonesia which presented more than 140 leading manufacturing, distributor and retail companies from 12 participating countries.
